Arthouse – Fort Worth
- 177 rental apartments on top of 37,000 square feet of retail
- Worked closely with City of Keller (N. Fort Worth) on the zoning and development approval process
- Signature project, located in city’s designated town center
- Negotiated development and concessions agreement with City of Keller
- Managed development staff throughout the development process
- Hired property manager and worked together on lease up strategy
- Responsible for development schedule and budget
- Managed Southern Land Company's relationship with the equity partner
Watters Creek – Dallas
- 233 rental apartments on top of retail
- Located in Keller, Texas (north Dallas)
- A joint venture with another developer
- Negotiated joint venture and development agreement with local Texas developer
- Managed development staff throughout the development process
- Responsible for development schedule and budget
- Hired manager and worked together on lease-up strategy
- Hired VP of Property Management for both the Texas and Tennessee projects
Westhaven Town Center – Franklin
- Developed 4 community buildings that include office, retail and condominiums
- Hired and managed VP of Leasing
- Managed Southern Land Company development staff
- Met with City staff, each Alderman [councilman] and member of the Planning Commission
- Responsible for development schedule and budget
- Negotiated a long-term ground lease with Harris Teeter as anchor
McEwen Master-planned Development – Franklin
- 93 acre land parcel located on the south side of Cool Springs area of Nashville
- Point person for the rezoning of the entire site including approval of concept plan
- Met with concerned neighborhood groups and with individual home owners immediately adjacent to the site
- Successful rezoning, in large part due to the neighbors’ vocal support for the plan
- Managed the development budget and phasing of improvements
- Managed the company's relationship with its equity partner
McEwen Multifamily – Franklin
- 258 rental apartments - "DWELL" - phase one of a mixed use project
- Worked with city on plan approval for first apartment project in nine years
- Hired and managed the Southern Land Company development staff
- Hired and managed the property manager
- Responsible for development schedule and budget
McEwen Office – Franklin
- 175,000 square foot class-A office building, phase two of a mixed use project
- Worked with the city and neighborhood groups on plan approval
- Hired and managed the Southern Land Company development staff
- Managed marketing and broker relations
- Responsible for development schedule and budget
McEwen Retail – Franklin
- Negotiated a 45,000 square foot lease directly with Whole Foods
- Represented Southern Land Company to the City of Franklin in negotiations for variances on the store layout
- Design approval and coordination with Whole Foods designers
1990 – 2004 | HINES
One Ninety One Peachtree Tower – Atlanta
- Hines Interests, L.P. development joint venture with Cousins Properties and DIHC
- 1,580,000 square foot, $300 million development, including office and retail space in a 50-story landmark tower in downtown Atlanta
- Managed the relationship with the financial partner DIHC
- Managed the leasing process until the building was 96% leased
Cool Springs – Nashville
- 1,050 acre master planned development in Franklin, Tennessee
- Senior Hines development partner in Tennessee
- Opened the Hines office in Tennessee (Nashville)
- Managed the rezoning and entitlement process
- Worked with designers and engineers to accomplish most cost effective and market adaptable master plan
- Worked with the State of Tennessee, Nashville Chamber of Commerce (Janet Miller, Economic Development), Williamson County Economic Development and the City of Franklin in securing the 50-acre Primus (Ford Motor Credit) headquarters campus at Cool Springs
- Negotiated the land sales in excess of $100 million for future single family residential, multi-family residential, office, hotel and retail developments
- Sold land to a variety of buyers, including Ford Motor Land Co., Highwoods Properties, Crescent Resources, Provident Music (BMG), Phillips Builders (Beazer), John Wieland Homes and Mercedes Benz
2525 West End – Nashville
- 366,000 square foot office and retail project on the edge of the Vanderbilt University campus
- Worked on the project from inception to sale (1996 – 2004)
- Handled the lease-up of the office and retail portions of the project
- Worked with Nashville Chamber of Commerce (Janet Miller, Economic Development) on securing a 102,000 square foot lease with Sprint PCS software programming division, then a new-to-Nashville operation
- Fully leased the building 12 months ahead of schedule, resulting in significant cost savings and value enhancement
- Brought new-to-Nashville tenants such as P.F. Chang’s, Flemings Steakhouse and Robert W. Baird & Co.
